Committee for research integrity and acedemic conduct
The Committee investigates complaints regarding a suspicion of violation of scientific integrity by a staff member of Leiden University.
In society, increasing attention is being paid to the observance of standards of conduct and integrity issues. One of the characteristics of this trend is that many organisations demand that their own employees exhibit respectable behaviour in the widest sense, take measures to increase awareness of these issues and, if necessary, even go as far as imposing ‘sanctions’ if people fail to comply with the standards.
Leiden University has formulated Scientific Integrity Regulations, which include the establishment of a Committee for Scientific Integrity. According to the procedure in these regulations, you can file a complaint with this committee regarding a suspicion of violation of scientific integrity by a staff member of Leiden University. Incidentally, you are free to first bring the matter to the attention of the Scientific Director or the Dean.
